I'm sure many of you have come across these boots in New Look. They are a similar style to the Topshop Ambush but at a fraction of the price! They are only £19.99 compared to the £75 I was considering paying for the Ambush shortly after my birthday.

I visited two New Look stores in Liverpool, one in my home town, Northwich and Crewe on several occassions but they were either sold out or didn't have a size 6. 2 months later, I found them in my local store. After 20% student discount and £13 on a gift card left over from Christmas, I only had to pay £2.99 for them.

I AM SO HAPPY.

I shall wear them to my friends gig tomorrow night paired with my white crop tee, black high waist jeans & leather jacket.

Hello all.

I apologise for not posting for a while, my internet isn't reconnected until 6th February and it is exam season. I have my Sociology exam in the morning, I've been beasting the revision all week. I hope it pays off!

I am currently sat with two tabs open - American Apparel and ASOS. Both sport The Disco Pant. I am DESPERATE. My friends are getting sick of me going on about them! I am yet to put Creepers (black size 6) & some Cheap Monday (dark denim 28W32L) jeans on Ebay because I don't know how to do p&p and I'm scared if I'm not quick enough an angry buyer will shout at me and sue my arse, even you can even do that. Tips would be helpful!

I am taking a vow of blog dedication beginning today. Anything to put off revision til the last minute! I see a lot of 'what's in your bag' posts and I find them really quite interesting and after a lot of procrastination here is mine. Prepare to be uninspired.

1- I'm almost finished! I've been putting of finishing it for months for some reason. It's about the first criminal psychologist in Britain, how he introduced criminal profiling and how he aided solving several cases in Britain.

2- Trusty brolly, always buried in the bottom of my bag!

3- Leather purse my daddy got me from Turkey, it is HUGE. Perfect for all the receipts and cards I seem to collect.

4- My little iPod. So garish, I wish I would have got a black one.

5- Gok Wan glasses. They are gorgeous and everything is in HD!

6- Snuggly mittens just in case.

7- Aloe Vera & Cocoa Vaseline - you can never have too much Vaseline.

Just a few snaps from London this weekend. I didn't take many as I had very limited time as me and my auntie travelled there by coach. We are definitely going by train next time. We arrived at 1pm on Saturday and only had until 3pm the next day. Anyway, we went to the British Museum and saw the Egyptian mummy exhibition, so exciting! The next day we went to Camden Market then Oxford Circus. I had all of my birthday money with me but spent only £20 and most of it was on my boyfriend. I only got a studded cuff despite going to various markets, 4 floors of Topshop, 4 floor of Urban Outfitters, 3 of H&M etc etc. Nothing caught my eye because I didn't have time to decide whether I wanted an item. It was nice to have a change of scenery though. A man stopped me outside Topshop and asked me if he could take a picture of my outfit because he was from a New York based fashion magazine doing a special feature on denim, so I was happy to help. I forgot to ask the name of the magazine though so there's probably going to be a unflattering photograph of me floating around cyberspace :(

Hello! I have a bruise on my knee from falling over on Friday after my first night out as a legal adult. I'm currently continuing the Friends marathon i've been watching all day and contemplating whether to look at what homework I have although I can almost guarantee I won't do it. I have a presentation tomorrow on my Extended Project Qualification which is basically a 5000 word dissertation on a subject of my choice. I have decided to explore the extent that biological and environmental factors influence a person to be able to commit a series of murders. Hello, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been really inspired recently but my outfits never seem to translate into pictures very well. I am 18 in 16 days! I'm going to London the weekend after for some serious shopping. I am in two minds about purchasing Creepers. I dislike where I live, nobody branches out in terms of fashion, it seems they take inspiration from New Look mannequins. I'm either going to live in Sheffield or Manchester next year for Uni so I can dress as mad as I want without getting funny looks/abuse from people who are unable to string a sentence together.

I designed my tattoo last night, just a rough idea though. I'm cautious about posting it on here because it's a design that resonates strongly with me and I don't want it to be stolen or anything. Not that any of you would because you are lovely, some people are just creeps. Anyway, I'm getting it on my left shoulder blade.

My boyfriend has got me a tunic vest type thing with a print of River Phoenix in Stand By Me on it eeeeeeeeeee and a vintage acid wash denim jacket for my birthday. I am exciiiiiiiiiiited.

I am a shoe fiend. I absolutely adore these. Especially the Mr Wolf vintage. However, I do have some decisions to make! I'm 18 in less than a month and i'm going to London. London, naturally, means shopping. I would like either the Topshop Allegra boot (the mid heeled chelsea boot) or the Ambush boot (the ones next to Allegra). They are both quite steep price wise, retailing at £75. I suppose I'd have student discount too. And perhaps I'll ask for Topshop voucher thingies. Anyway, the Allegra heel is 3.5 inches and the reviews are good. I want to start wearing moderate heels in the day and they look so comfortable. The Ambush heel is 2.5 which is a little more modest but maybe not considered a proper heel, if you get me? So please tell me what you think! I am so excited.

Today I did a little shopping with my auntie in Liverpool because I haven't seen her in a while. We had lunch in Waterstones, minestrone soup, dolce latta and mushroom panini and Earl Grey tea and then I made some purchases. I added another pair of high waisted shorts to my collection, darker ones for the colder weather. I finally got my hands on American Psycho! Anyway, yeah in the bottom picture I bought a few basic tops in big sizes and a rust coloured jumper and a floppy hat. I couldn't find a much needed bag but I will not give up looking. I'm currently lazing in my boyfriends top that I've been lusting after muahaha. I'm really bored and hungry.

I have spent most of the day searching online for the perfect pair of black high waisted jeans. I'm not a huge fan of the corset style high waisted jeans with the buttons up the middle so I was looking for subtle ones with one button. In the end, I narrowed it down to Just Female jeans from ASOS or Cheap Monday jeans from Urban Outfitters. Both retailing at £50 I wasn't very happy about spending that much on a pair of jeans. However, I decided to visit H&M and found this pair for only £34.99. I have tried to purchased several other items off the H&M webstore but it wouldn't allow me as I'm not 18. I decided to give it a go anyway and et voila! It worked. H&M jeans have always fit me really well and are ever so soft and comfortable so I am very pleased (:

I stumbled across this shirt on ASOS after searching for all the burgundy items on the website, as you know, I am a burgundy fiend. I am absolutely in LOVE with it. IN LOVE. However, it's £45. For me, that's a tad steep for a shirt but it's so beautiful. I'm considering buying a black and white version for a more reasonable price purely because I think it'd look gorgeous teamed with my burgundy jeans. By the way, how do you all find New Look jeans? I have purchased two pairs in my lifetime. The first pair were black and size 10, however the legs are so tight I don't wear them because when I do manage to get them on after about 15 minutes, they're so uncomfortable. With this in mind, I purchased burgundy ones in a size 12 so they fit me on the legs but not so much around the waist.

I'm watching Whats New Scooby Doo in bed because I am a child. However, I'm planning to watch Bowling For Columbine later on. I've re-read Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult this past week and it's sparked my interest in school shootings. I've watched several documentaries on school shootings, particularly Columbine, however I find my thirst for understanding unquenched.

I am back from Tenerife! I've had a lovely week accompanied by my best friend, her family, multi-coloured cigarettes and various cocktails.

We stayed in Winter Gardens apartments in Golf Del Sur and hired a rental car for the week. We went to San Blas for cocktails, Los Cristianos for shopping, Jungle Park for animals and the bird show where eagles and vultures swoop over your head. I got hit in the face by a vultures wing, oh yeah. We went to Monkey Park too, you get to walk through cages of marmosets, lemurs and tiny monkeys and feed them. I saw huge turtles and saw an iguana try to eat a mouse. A baboon masturbated at me and another monkey got his willy out at me :( We went most of the way Mount Tiede too!
Whilst in Los Cristianos some women grabbed mine and my friends baby hair and started braiding it, despite our protests and then charged us 25 euros each for braids we didn't even want!

Anyway, I have lots of money left over to convert back to GBP so I'm booking a hair cut to go shorter and then I'll get it done blonde again, yayuuuh!

I'm currently in bed watching Sky+ because my dad had it installed in my room whilst I was away, which I am so grateful for, thank you dad! I'm feeling slightly lost as my boyfriend also went away on Wednesday and isn't back until the coming Wednesday :( I hope you've all had wonderful summer holidays as most of us are back to college or going off to uni fairly soon!

I'm going back to blonde mid-September hopefully so I think I'll be able to make it less mumsy! I'm wondering whether I should keep a messy, choppy full fringe like I have now or grow it out? I'm pretty sure the majority of female teenage Britain is familiar with this product but I honestly I feel I owe it a dedication post! It is one of the most handy things I've come across in a long time. My hair is very thick and very curly and can be quite frizzy which makes it an absolute nightmare to wash every single day and dry and straighten. So Batiste saves me a lot of time and it's the perfect lazy girls trick! So if for some unfathomable reason you have never managed to pick up a can, I strongly recommend you do.

Oh and the pink one smells like mince pies!

This is what my afternoon has consisted of. I have developed a love for houmous and it's meant to be quite good for you because it's made of chickpeas :) I'm about to watch the rest of season 6 of Sex & The City and perhaps begin the first series of Pretty Little Liars. I've packed most of my stuff for Tenerife even though I don't go until Saturday, just to give me a vague idea of what I need to get this week and what I do/don't need to take with me. I'm so excited! My boyfriend is taking me the cinema tomorrow night to watch The Inbetweeners as a treat for passing my theory and getting 'good' results.

It has been a good week, I passed my theory and got okay results. I got an A in Photography, B in Sociology & Psychology and a C in English. I'm very annoyed because I stopped enjoying photography by the time we got to Unit 2 and I'm not continuing it in September yet I got the best grade out of all of my subjects. I'm gutted about getting a C in English because English has always been my best subject so I'm going to resit my exam and bump it up to a B hopefully!

I am a very happy bunny as I have just passed my car theory test. 48 out of 50 on multiple choice questions and 53 out of 75 on hazard perception! I didn't think I was going to pass so I'm extra proud of myself. Plus, look what I found waiting in the fridge when I returned home...

My dads girlfriend makes occasion cakes and she often tries out mini recipes and we get to be the guinea pigs. The cream coloured ones are ginger flavoured, the yellow & green ones are lemon curd and the pink ones are marshmallow flavoured.

I'm also 95% of the way through this book I picked up in Chester the other day. I read most of it on Sunday whilst my boyfriend watched football and it was very disturbing to read in one sitting, so many taboo subjects in one book. So interesting though. A lot of people think that my interest in serial killers means that I condone their actions. I do not. I open my mind to understanding the thought patterns of others and how life experiences can shape you.

I’ve been lagging bags around Chester for most of the day so my feet are in paiiiiiiin. I didn’t really get much, I felt really uninspired in a lot of the clothes shops. However, I did get a few holiday and jewellery pieces from Primark, it’d be rude not to. I also purchased a book about Rosemary West which is so far interesting and enlightening. OH and I finally found peach ice tea, I’ve been searching for it since Disneyland Paris 2005 :(

I finally swallowed my annoyance last night after an enlightening and slightly emotional argument with my boyfriend and went to his family party thing. We didn’t arrive ‘til about half 10 but a pint of cider and a few 80s power ballads later I was recieving ego boosting compliments from his sozzled grandma and bobbing my head to Europe.

I’m chilling out now until it’s ready to get the bus to my boyfriends for the night. I may do a shopping post tomorrow!

I suffer with the nuisance of breasts reminiscent of a 10 year old. VERY SMALL. Therefore very difficult to find bikinis for. After having several mental breakdowns about not being able to go on holiday over the duration of summer so far, I am finally going! Since I started college last September, I've had to turn down 3 holidays purely because of my commitment to college. However, I am cancelling mentoring the lower sixth students in order to go on holiday with one of my best friends and her family in 3 weeks to Tenerife. I have an appointment in Liverpool on Monday to renew my passport, I only realised it expired last night. I'm currently doing a bit of bikini research as I find it very hard to find a bikini that fits and enhances. I'm only a 32A and I definitely need a padded bikini!

I just spotted this fruity little number for only a fiver in the H&M online sale. It's not usually something I'd go for but for holiday, it's very cute and appropriate.

Tomorrow, I'm off to Yorkshire for the weekend with one of my best friends :) Hopefully we can have a look around some vintage markets and Dewsbury market as we usually do.

I scored this gorgeous belt from a local charity shop last time I went with her actually.

I'm quite excited about spending time with her mum as well. Her parents are people you'll never get tired of speaking to, they know everything about anything! I'll be taking these to keep me entertained on the journey...

My latest Lookbook look! I've been planning this outfit for some time now. I finally got hold of some faux leather pants for only £9.99 and they are so so comfortable. My wedges arrived today and although they are so much higher than I had anticipated they are surprisingly comfortable.

I stole this idea from EAtreschic! I thought it'd be fun and something to pass the time on this boring Tuesday. I have just spent the last hour and a half revising for my theory that is in less than 3 weeks, it is amazingly dull. Anyway, here we go.

Natural blonde afro as a nipper!

I was about 12 here with very long brown hair. Excuse the crude pose!

I'd just turned 13 here, it was a month afterwards I think, in December.
I'd cut my hair chin length, eugh. Worst decision I've ever made.

I was about 14 here. Basically a mullet with blonde spiky layers on top and black on the bottom.
DISGUSTING.

Later that year I got rid of my mullet!

Please excuse this photo, going through my 'scene' phase hahaha but I dyed it black and added a fringe and extensions.

As you can probably tell, I'm indecisive on colour, length and fringe vs parting.

This is my current wishlist! A lot of black and a few hints of warm colour. I'm lusting after both Sam Edelman's Zoe boot and the ankle boots with spikes on, so beautiful! The stripy jeans from Motel are to die for.

I'm really enjoying Topshops collection of ankle boots recently. I'm on the look out for a black pair for a reasonable price. There is no way I have the patience to save up for one of those pictured above, money burns a hole in my pocket as soon as I have it! Hopefully I'll find a quicker (and by quicker I mean cheaper) solution to my boot woes!

I have recently been searching every nook and cranny of the internet to find some skinny faux leather pants. I can find a few of the H&M pairs on Ebay but I'm a terrible bidder and somewhat of an Ebay novice. I really like them, they're so effortlessly cool and you can dress them up or down quite easily.

My search was fruitless until I stumbled upon a pair that are not entirely what I was looking for but for £9.99 I couldn't resist! They have an elasticated panel down the side which I think adds a little something. I'm just hoping they aren't ridiculously cheap looking or too shiny! I plan to wear mine with a crochet knit jumper when the weather gets a bit colder, it's nice to mix textures.

If anybody finds any reasonably priced good quality versions, please let me know!

Hello! Just a quick post before I go to my friends house for cigarettes and movies. I've pinned the sides of my hair back, as you can see. It's a nice change, at least I don't have to constantly flip my hair out of my face! Anyway, the picture below is my outfit for this evening, really simple and really comfortable. I got this black jersey pocket skirt from New Look today for a mere £3! It's not something I'd usually pick up, I'm not a skirt wearer if I'm honest. I only own a midi and a maxi skirt and now this little number! I treated myself after a painful and traumatic dentist experience, I've had a huge filling in a broken tooth and my dentist kept poking at the nerves. Yep, I cried.

Anyway, I thought I'd throw in a skinny studded belt and my much loved semi-precious cross necklace to jazz it up a tad.

I thought I'd add this beauty, I've been listening to months now. It is such a sexy song. Enjoy!

I've been looking for a hat I can wear quite casually for a reasonable price and et voila, I stumbled upon this little bowler beauty in H&M for £7.99. It's a good beginners hat, I think.

Anyway, it's Sunday now and I haven't posted anything since Tuesday. This photograph was taken on Thursday evening, before I went to Debees to see my friends band play. I had a thoroughly enjoyable night, even if I did not return to my friends house until 5:30am. Friday consisted of boyfriend, naps, Jackass and pasta. I have done nothing for 3 days now, I am currently watching season 3 of Sex and the City. Can we please just take a minute to appreciate how progressively sexier Carrie Bradshaws hair gets as the seasons go along? Season 2 & 3 are complete winners in the hair department.

Hello!

I have a few favourite blogs on this site that I check out regularly so I thought it'd be worth making my own so I can put in my two cents. I'm not promising that this will be spectacular or particularly endearing, it's just a little something to occupy me over the next few months of summer, a project, perhaps.

So, I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Kelsey Ellis Owen and I'm seventeen years young. I live in Cheshire, in a small town famous for salt. Compelling stuff. I'm currently studying for my A-levels at college, I study Psychology, Sociology, English Language and Photography. However, I'm dropping Photography at the end of my first AS year. It began as a hobby and I decided, after a year of taking it further, I'd rather keep it as a hobby.

I love fashion. I enjoy clothes. Creating different shapes and silhouettes and looks is important to me and it makes everyday a little bit different. I suppose this blog is mainly going to be about fashion and my outfits and stuff. However, my heart truly lies in Psychology. It is my aim to work either as a forensic psychiatrist/criminal psychologist/clinical psychologist. I consider both crime and mental illness to be intriguing, especially in the most severe cases.

I'm so desperate for a pug. I want a little fawn female pug named Maisie. See, I have developed penchant for animals with squished faces since I got my Persian cat, Maximus. He is adorable and I probably like him more than I should.
